Getting started
Is it stressful for my child?
It's designed not to be. Children start below school level so they succeed early, wrong answers get a hint and "try again", never a red cross, and younger children never see a clock.
How is Everstep different from other maths programmes or tuition centres?
Your child gets both: short daily practice at exactly their level, and a one-to-one tutor every week who sees every answer and teaches what's actually stuck. No big classes, no worksheets the tutor never looks at.
Will it help with the new Year 4 to Form 3 school assessments?
Strong basics help with any assessment. Your tutor can also look at your child's school results with you and focus lessons on the gaps they show.
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. It takes about 30 minutes, at home or online, with no obligation. You'll see exactly which level your child should start at.
What ages do you teach?
Ages 5 to 15. Children are placed by ability, not age, so an older child who needs to rebuild the basics is welcome.
My child is behind at school. Will starting below their level hold them back?
Starting a little below lets them build speed and confidence first. Children usually move up quickly once the basics are solid.
My child is ahead. Is Everstep still useful?
Yes. They can move beyond their school year at their own pace, as long as each step is accurate and quick.
Lessons
Where do lessons happen?
Both: at your home in the Klang Valley, or online. You choose what suits your family.
How long is each lesson?
[Confirm lesson length, e.g. 60 minutes.]
Which syllabus do you follow?
We cover KSSR (SK and SJKC), Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary, and other international school syllabuses on request.
Will I know what happened in each lesson?
Yes. Your tutor sends the plan before each lesson and a short summary after it.
Daily worksheets
Is 15 minutes a day really enough?
Short daily practice at the right level builds speed and confidence faster than one long session a week. The weekly lesson covers anything that's stuck.
What if my child gets answers wrong?
They get "try again" and a hint, never a red cross. If a worksheet isn't accurate and quick enough yet, they repeat the step with fresh questions.
Paper or screen?
[Confirm: printed worksheets, tablet, or both.]
Tutors and fees
Who are the tutors?
Tutors with strong maths backgrounds, trained in the Everstep routine. Every tutor agrees to our child-safety rules before teaching.
What if our tutor leaves?
Another trained Everstep tutor takes over from your child's record. Same level, same plan, no restart.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on your child's level and how often they have lessons. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll share them with you.
